I dedicate my life! My name is Noemi de Souza. And my story with animals is this. I spent many years outside Brazil, completely absent from the sad reality that is the abandonment of animals in our country. A few years ago, on one of my trips to Brazil, I became aware of this sad situation, during a visit to the city of Mongaguá, located on the south coast of São Paulo. I was shocked to see so many sick, hungry and neglected animals. Unfortunately, that day I couldn’t do much for them other than feed them. But that scene never faded from my memory. I returned a few days later to the same place and took some bags of feed to give to a lady there, who was trying to help them. When I returned to the United States, where I live, I made an appeal to raise funds for a castration campaign. Months later, with the help of the NGO AILA INTERNACIONAL, we carried out the campaign and castrated more than 150 animals. Since then, with the help of other protectors and sympathizers of the same cause, we do the work that is within our power to save these animals from the streets, especially those that are in critical situations and we work hard to give them a dignified and suffering-free destination. for their lives.
